After accepting Christ as your savior, the next step is to be water baptized so others will know about your decision.
Water baptism is a public celebration of your personal faith. Just as a wedding ceremony is a declaration of a marriage covenant, water baptism is the outward declaration of the covenant you’ve made with God. Going under the water represents your old life and coming out of the water represents your brand new life with Jesus Christ. This symbolic act declares to the world you are basing your life on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. When you are in a right relationship with God, you can live every single day with the assurance that He is guiding your life.
Water Baptism Questions
Who should get baptized?
Why should I get baptized?
Actions speak louder than words. And being baptized is a symbolic action that boldly declares, “I worship and serve Jesus Christ!”
Can I still go to heaven if I don't get baptized?
Where is water baptism found in the bible?
Okay, I am registered, what now?
When arriving on campus for the service you are scheduled, check in at the welcome desk 15 minutes prior to service starting. At the welcome desk, you will receive your name tag and any additional instructions.
What do I wear?
Wear clothes to service that you will want to be baptized in. These clothes should be a dark color and loose. The church will provide robes and towels.
What should I bring?
A complete change of clothes & undergarments, flip-flops and necessary toiletries. All the above items should be in a bag with your name clearly marked.
Do I have to be fully immersed underwater?
Yes. Colossians 2:12 states that baptism symbolizes our being buried with Christ, dying in the flesh (going underwater) and then being raised with Him as we are born again (coming up out of the water). This also means we do not baptize babies.
